These LEDs offer a simple and intuitive way to monitor the health and operational status of the Brocade switch.
The front panel of the Brocade switch has ports arranged in Quads. Each port features two LEDs:
- Status LED:
- Glows when a cable is connected to the switch.
- Green: FLOGI (Fabric Login) is successful.
- Amber: FLOGI is unsuccessful.
- Speed LED:
- Indicates port speed status.
- Glows if the port is running at maximum speed.
- Remains off if the port is not running at maximum speed (default state).
The back panel of the switch contains a single LED at the center. The LED displays the overall system status based on the following conditions:
- During boot:
- Amber: The switch is in the process of booting.
- Post-boot status:
- Green: The switch has booted successfully.
- Amber: Boot failure.
- Fan status:
- Green: Fans are functioning properly.
- Amber: Fan malfunction detected.
- Power supply status:
- Green: Power supply is normal.
- Amber: Power supply issue detected.
